Stewards – Heathfield Agricultural Show

One day agricultural Show based in the heart of the Wealden countryside. Held annually in May. It showcases arts and crafts, a flower exhibit, farmers market traders, vintage tractors and steam engines, as well as competitions and events in a packed schedule located on Tottingworth Farm in Broad Oak.

The Heathfield Show owes its ongoing success to all the volunteers who give their time to assist in the run-up to the Show and on Show Day itself, the last bank holiday weekend Saturday in May. They are looking for volunteer stewards to assist them on Show Day.

The shifts available are:
6:30am – 8am (early horse / entry gate management)
8am – 11am
11am – 2pm
2pm – 5pm
5pm – 7pm (rubbish collection / general tidy)

Help will also be required on the showground during the week before the Show, for set up.

All stewards are covered by the Show’s Public Liability Insurance.

Stewards under the age of 16 must be supervised by an adult and stewards 75 and over are not covered by the Show’s Personal Accident Cover but are covered by the Public Liability Insurance.

Each shift is up to 4 hours.

FREE entry wristband to allow access to the Show for the full day.

FREE refreshments all day for stewards from the steward’s marquee.

Hi-Vis vests supplied.

Donations are considered for organisations/groups who supply 6 or more stewards.

This opportunity is just for one day, and is a chance to help run an important local event in the Heathfield community which attracts visitors from all over. Not only will you get to assist in making the day a safe experience for everyone involved, you’ll get to enjoy it yourself.
