Museum Volunteer – Bluebell Railway Trust Museum

About this organisation

The Bluebell Railway Trust Museum is situated at Sheffield Park Station, and offers both a glimpse into the history of the railways and steam locomotives from across the South East of England, and hands on experiences with its exhibits. The museum is free to enter.

About this opportunity

There are a number of opportunities for the museum, with roles to do with greeting visitors and caring for the museum and its collection, roles to assist with the management of the museum, and roles running the steamworks visitor attraction.

You do not need to know anything about railways to volunteer, and the work suits all ages and genders. Minors will need to accompanied by an adult.

Hours are flexible, with normal hours for guides from 10am – 4:30pm, however half days can be arranged. Other roles can be as little as a few hours, and you can choose the days you volunteer on a monthly basis.
