Unit Helper Heathfield – Girlguiding Weald Division

Girlguiding is the UK’s largest youth organisation dedicated completely to girls and young women. Through fun, friendship, challenge and adventure we empower girls to find their voice, inspiring them to discover the best in themselves and to make a positive difference in their community.

Weald Division supports local units in Uckfield, Heathfield, Horam, Chiddingly, and Hailsham, with our local campsite based in Chiddingly. We give girls the opportunities to participate in a variety of activities, including outdoor exploration, camping, community projects, and more.

We are recruiting for unit helpers in Heathfield to assist with the local leadership team plan. You will be helping to create and run a fun programme of activities for girls between ages 4-18. Enthusiasm is key to this role, and you must willing to share your time and skills with our young people, as we support all girls in teaching them to know they can do anything!

We are split into 4 sections:

Rainbows: For girls ages 4–7
Brownies: For girls ages 7–10
Guides: For older girls 10-14
Rangers: For older girls 14-18

Currently Heathfield District are growing in numbers, and we need more leaders to support our units throughout the age ranges to allow girls to move up between sections.

Opportunities can be any day of the week, and there are multiple groups with room for more helpers, and trainee new leaders should you be interested.

You will require reference and DBS checks, however we will provide these.
