Occasional Fundraising Volunteer – Chailey Heritage Foundation

Living with complex disabilities can be overwhelming and isolating.
Our Charity is here for children and young people living with physical disabilities, complex medical and communication needs. We’re here to listen and explore life-changing possibilities together.
Our outstanding school, welcoming residential homes and bustling centre combining gym and art therapy, a farm and café create a thriving community of support. Our expert team dedicate time, patience and curiosity to nurturing the potential of every child and young person who comes to us.
By sharing our skills and expertise within and beyond our sector, more children and young people are able to benefit from our approaches.

Currently we have these upcoming fundraising events:

Chailey St George’s Day Fete – Saturday 26th April

We have been invited back to Chailey’s St George’s Day Fete organised by Chailey Bonfire Society.
We have attended for the last 2 years alongside Patchwork Farm. It is a really lovely, local community event, at which we’ll run a hook-a-duck and tombola stall.
The market runs from 12 to 4pm. You wouldn’t need to stay all day (unless you wanted to!). We can do shifts 11am to 2pm and 2 to 5pm to help with set up and pack down.

Crowborough Morrisons bucket collection – Saturday 10th May

Volunteers work 2 hour shifts anywhere between 9am and 5pm.

Maytime Melodies performance in the Chapel – Thursday 15th May – evening

The fabulous trio from Coro Nuovo Voices are back performing in the Chapel this Spring. We’re looking for a few volunteers to help on the night serve refreshments as guests arrive and help to run the raffle. Arrival from 5:30pm.

Lindfield Village Day – Saturday 31st May

We have been invited to have a stall at Lindfield Village Day. It’s the first time we’ve been invited to this lovely, local event. We will be running a tombola and hook-a-duck.
There will be a lunchtime shift from 11am to 2:30pm, and an afternoon shift from 2:30 to 6pm.

Burgess Hill Summer Fayre – Sunday 22nd June

We have been invited back to Burgess Hill Summer Fayre for a third year.
We will be running a stall with lots of fun games and getting to speak to the public about Chailey (hopefully in the sunshine!)
Three hour shifts to be from 10am to 1pm and 1 to 4pm.

Wivelsfield Village Day – Saturday 12th July

It’s a little way off but we have been invited to have a stall at Wivelsfield Village Day in July to showcase Chailey. The plan is to take some adaptive games equipment with some animals from the farm as well as our classic fundraising stall (e.g. Hook A Duck / lucky dip). A date for your diary if you are interested! You wouldn’t need to stay all day, with shifts from 11am to 2:30pm and 2:30 to 6pm.

Waitrose Haywards Heath bucket collection – Saturday 26th July

Waitrose Haywards Heath is often our most successful bucket collection as it is ‘our local’.
2 hour shifts available between 9am and 5pm.
