Patchwork Farm Volunteer – Chailey Heritage Foundation

About this organisation
Living with complex disabilities can be overwhelming and isolating.
Our Charity is here for children and young people living with physical disabilities, complex medical and communication needs. We’re here to listen and explore life-changing possibilities together.
Our outstanding school, welcoming residential homes and bustling centre combining gym and art therapy, a farm and café create a thriving community of support. Our expert team dedicate time, patience and curiosity to nurturing the potential of every child and young person who comes to us.
By sharing our skills and expertise within and beyond our sector, more children and young people are able to benefit from our approaches.
About this opportunity
🐑🐴 AFTERNOON FARM VOLUNTEERS WANTED! 🐓🐾
Love animals? Want to spend your afternoons in the fresh air, surrounded by furry and feathery friends? Patchwork Farm at Chailey Heritage Foundation is looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help care for our amazing animals! We have pigs, goats, sheep, donkeys, guinea pigs, tortoises, ducks, geese and hens. Not to mention Nic Nac the Shetland pony.
💚 What’s in it for you?
✅ Hands-on experience with a range of animals
✅ Fresh air, fun, and plenty of outdoor exercise
✅ Meet like-minded animal lovers
✅ A real feel-good way to spend your time
No experience needed—just a big heart and a love for animals! Tasks include feeding, grooming, mucking out, and making sure our animals are happy and healthy.
As we have very vulnerable children and young people on site, all volunteers are required to have an enhanced DBS check.
We are looking for volunteers for either a Saturday or Thursday afternoon 2:00-4:00 pm.
