About this opportunity
The Luxford Centre 55+ club are seeking cooks to help run their weekly lunchtime meetups. No professional experience is required for this role, just good home cooking!
They usually cater for around 20 – 25 members, and you’ll either be working alone or in pairs. There is no age limit for this role, though a hygiene certificate is essential.
The role is for three Thursday mornings a month, with flexible rotation, and you’ll be volunteering for the hours you can give, though never more than four hours a shift.
These weekly lunchtime meetups are a wonderful chance for members to socialise over a meal, and a great opportunity for anyone who is a dab hand in the kitchen to put a smile on others faces with those skills. This is also a good position for volunteers who don’t have a lot of free time but still wish to help out where they can.
