Youth Events Planning Volunteer – Heathfield Youth Hub

Heathfield Youth Hub is a free and safe space for young people aged:
11 to 19, or 10 who will be turning 11 in year 6.
to take part in fun activities, make new friends and learn new skills, such as music, cooking and more.

Sometimes young people need a place to go and something to do. We are here to support young people with whatever is on their mind.

All our clubs and activities are LGBTQ+ friendly. There are also specific LGBTQ+ sessions, as well as our Funky Teens group. We also welcome young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

We do a range of activities such as sports, arts and baking. We are due to open our new Youth Hub in the summer so now is an exciting time to begin volunteering!

We are looking for an Events Planner volunteer, who can support in planning our launch events in September and across the Autumn. These events will be for the local community, stakeholders, local businesses and charities, youth professionals and most importantly, local young people.

You will support in the planning, delivery and evaluation process of events, volunteering between 1-2 hours per week. You may attend some youth sessions, to hear from young people what they think would be important at the events, and how they would like to be involved.

A DBS check is required for this role which will be fully paid for by us.
Applicants must be aged 16 or over.
All mileage or public transport costs are paid.
Free training opportunities.

You can volunteer during the daytime or the evening.
Our youth sessions are during the evening, which you may attend occasionally to speak to young people.
