Wealden Volunteering
We promote volunteering, supporting the charities that need volunteers. We also provide office services: laminating, copying, scanning + lots of useful local information. Come in and see us on Uckfield High Street, or at one of our pop-ups.

National Trust Sheffield Park & Garden seek a Social Media Volunteer to promote Sheffield Park’s cricket pitch and matches, with its resident cricket team, the Armadillos, to digital audiences. ![]()

IT literacy and some social-media know-how would be helpful.![]()

Travel expenses to and from Sheffield Park will be reimbursed.![]()

Note: This volunteering role will involve match days in the season, and will require some time spent in the office, depending on when you’re posting.![]()

Sheffield Park and Garden NT
**NEW HOLY CROSS SCHOOL BOOKLET**![]()

Uckfield Heritage have produced a booklet to accompany the exhibition about Holy Cross CEP School, which was held at Bridge Cottage in 2024. ![]()

The school closed after serving Uckfield for c. 175 years, in its various forms. ![]()
![]()
The new booklet contains text and pictures from the exhibition, as well as QR codes giving access to various video clips. ![]()

Copies will first be available at the Holy Cross Church Spring Festival, on Luxford Field in Uckfield, on 10th May. After that they will be on sale in Bridge Cottage, and also at their shop in Bell Walk, Uckfield.![]()

Wealden Volunteering, is a charitable organisation, which helps find volunteers for Wealden-based charities with any volunteering needs. ![]()

Financially it is supported by various organisations, including Garfield Weston Foundation, Chalk Cliff Trust, The National Lottery Community Fund, Uckfield Town Council, Heathfield & Waldron Parish Council, and Wealden District Council. However, it also needs to raise funds itself, as it seeks to be more financially sustainable in the future.![]()

This June, we are excited to be holding our very own fundraising event, a CHARITY SHOP FASHION GALA in Heathfield, thanks to the sponsorship of Heathfield and Waldron Parish Council. It's an evening showcasing fabulous charity fashion, all accompanied with some equally sumptuous food and drink, but with a very clear purpose - SUPPORTING WEALDEN CHARITIES.![]()
