Fund Raisers – Sussex Trug Heritage Centre

Sussex Trug Heritage Centre Limited is a not-for-profit company, limited by guarantee, so does not have any shareholders. The Sussex Trug Industry is currently listed by the Heritage Crafts Association as being “critically endangered”, the last stage before extinction. Sussex Trug Heritage Centre has been set up to help train new entrants and re-populate the industry thus preserving the traditional craft of the making of the world-famous Sussex Trug basket.
About this opportunity
Looking for enthusiastic and committed individuals to help access funding for our organisation. They will be responsible for preparing and submitting grant applications to various organisation including the National Heritage Lottery Fund.
Any applicants must be able to use various Microsoft programmes such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Positions could be permanent or to suit an individual volunteer’s personal circumstances. Knowledge of business accounting would be preferable but the company has a qualified accountant as bookkeeper so assistance can be given in this respect.
If you have access to a computer at home you are welcome to carry out most of the work remotely, however there is also is a computer at the office for use. Days and hours are to suit volunteers, though we would ask you commit to at least one day a week.
