About this organisation
Chailey Heritage Foundation is a charity that supports children and young people with complex disabilities, and their families.
We’re here to listen, nurture their potential, and create life-changing opportunities, together.
About this opportunity
We are looking for one volunteer to join our Farm After School Club.
Working alongside our Activities Coordinator, you will help create fun, safe and engaging farm-based experiences for the young people who attend our sessions.
What you will do:

- Supporting young people to take part in activities at their own pace
- Encouraging participation in a calm, inclusive environment
- Supervising safe interactions between young people and animals
- Helping feed animals and put away safely for the night
- Assisting with cleaning, tidying and general farm tasks
What you will bring:
- A genuine enthusiasm for supporting young people with disabilities
- Someone who enjoys working with animals
- A team player who can also work independently
- Reliable and positive attitude
What we will provide:
- Be part of a friendly and supportive team
- Induction training and other learning relevant to your role
- Support through your named contact and the Volunteer Coordinator
- Reasonable expenses
All our onsite roles require volunteers to have an enhanced DBS check. This means that volunteers need to be over 16. We do reimburse travel expenses.
