Wealden District Council are looking for volunteers to assist Resettled Refugee Families in the local area.
Are you passionate about helping others and strengthening your community? We’re looking for friendly, reliable volunteers to support families who could use an extra hand with day‑to‑day tasks and settling into the local area.
🧡 What You’ll Do
- Offer light practical help such as assistance with shopping or household tasks
- Provide companionship and a friendly face
- Help families connect with local services, activities, and community groups
- Support parents and children as they build confidence in their new surroundings
🌱 Why It Matters
Your time can make a real difference. Many families—especially those new to the area—benefit enormously from a bit of support, encouragement, and connection. By volunteering, you’ll help create a stronger, more welcoming community for everyone.
