Calligraphy Volunteer – Chailey Heritage Foundation

Chailey Heritage Foundation is a thriving community of support for children, young people and families living with complex disabilities. We believe that each child and young person, regardless of their disability, should have every opportunity to explore their potential and live their best life.

Chailey Heritage Foundation has a rich history dating back to 1903. The Volunteer Calligrapher will help preserve and enhance this heritage by maintaining important commemorative records through high-quality handwritten entries.

What you will do

  • Create handwritten entries in the Chailey Heritage Foundation Royal Visitors’ Book
  • Produce calligraphic entries for the Foundation’s Roll of Remembrance
  • Liaise with staff regarding wording, dates and formatting requirements

What you will bring

  • Demonstrable calligraphy skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Interest in local history, archives or heritage conservation

Due to the location and nature of this role, an enhanced DBS check is required. This role is only available to ages 18+. Reasonable travel expenses will be reimbursed.
