Carriage Presentation Team – Bluebell Railway

The Bluebell Railway is one of the UK’s leading heritage railways, operating steam and diesel trains between Sheffield Park, Horsted Keynes, Kingscote and East Grinstead. Run by over 1,000 volunteers, we work together to operate the railway, preserve historic locomotives, carriages and buildings, and provide memorable experiences for our visitors. Whether you have existing skills or simply want to learn something new, there are opportunities for everyone to get involved.

Help keep the Bluebell Railway’s historic carriages clean, presentable and ready for our visitors. Working as part of a friendly volunteer team, you’ll help with cleaning and general presentation of our passenger carriages, ensuring they look their best for every journey. This is an ongoing volunteer role, ideal for anyone who enjoys practical work and taking pride in keeping things looking their best.

Opportunities are mainly available in the mornings, generally from around 8am to 12pm. Volunteers can choose which day or days they would like to volunteer, making the role flexible and easy to fit around existing commitments

Applicants for this role must be aged 16 or over. Volunteers have access to a range of Bluebell Railway volunteer benefits.
