About this organisation
Young at Heart is a non-residential, inter-generational community interest company (CIC), for those who are retired, providing an active day outside the home with other like-minded adults. Their community club is a core part of the lives of elderly residents in Heathfield and the surrounding area.
They provide a variety of activities at Young at Heart integrating a rotation of local primary schools and a nursery school, bringing young and old together. Children from 3-11 years old spend time with their members helping the children appreciate they have a part to play in the community and in turn, enriching their members’ days by mixing with the wider community.
About this opportunity
They require a team of volunteers to help distribute their newly printed posters and flyers about their exiting new ‘Bingo & Tea Dance’ event held twice a month at Union Church in Heathfield.
Volunteers will help distribute the flyers in the various shop and local business windows along Heathfield High Street to promote their exciting new event.
This is a one-off position, taking place on March 25th at 3pm, meeting outside Union Church Hall on Station Road in Heathfield. All ages are welcome though you will need to be mobile as short distances are involved.
