Volunteer Day Centre Assistant – Age We Care

They support individuals at a Respite Day Care Centre, providing a menu of well-being activities and support for those living in Sussex including those with Dementia, Parkinson’s, Mental Health Issues, Extra Care Needs and those who are Socially Isolated and Carers.
About this opportunity
They are looking for around 6 volunteers. The role is to support individuals with stimulating activities and to support with kitchen duties such as washing up, serving lunch, and supporting with general activities. Volunteers do not need to be IT literate but this is a great help if they are.
It is a permanent position but they would be happy to accept volunteers who can only give up a couple of hours a week or just an hour. Any help is greatly appreciated.
The role takes place every Tuesday & Thursday 10 am till 3.30 pm at St Bartholomew’s Church in Cross in Hand. They close for 2 weeks over Christmas.
A DBS will be required to be undertaken. Mileage / any expenses will be paid to volunteers.
