Wealden Volunteer Fair 12th October

The annual Wealden Volunteering Fair is almost here again. Taking place on Saturday the 12th of October from 10am to 2pm at Uckfield Civic Centre, it’s the perfect opportunity to speak to many of the incredible charities in our area.

Often we have people come through our door asking who they could volunteer for, and a little unsure as to how much variety is out there to choose from. It can be someone who has just moved to the area, a recent retiree, or students looking to bolster a UCAS application or start preparing for that first CV.

Whilst we are always happy to provide all the information about the various charities and organisations in Wealden who are seeking volunteers, there’s no better time and place to find out about the options available than by speaking to those already volunteering with them, hearing first hand about just what it is they offer, and how you could fit into the picture.

Even if you’re not looking to volunteer right now, feel free to pop along, meet some people from all over the district and maybe even find out about an incredible cause or two. Aside from the many charities in attendance, the Civic Centre cafe is offering it’s normal service, so maybe stop for a drink or bite to eat too after touring the stalls.

Doors will open at 10am on the 12th of October until 2pm, taking place at Uckfield Civic Centre. We hope to see you there!
