Uckfield Volunteer Fair 8th November

If you’re interested in learning about volunteering, then there’s no better occasion than the upcoming Uckfield Volunteer Fair! This year it’s being held on Saturday the 8th of November at Uckfield Civic Centre from 10am to 2pm, entry is free.

This event provides the perfect opportunity to speak to the representatives of a wide range of charities in the Wealden area, all in one place, giving a chance to hear directly from them all about the work their charity does, what it’s like to volunteer with them, and ask any questions you may have. You’ll get to see the incredible diversity of available volunteer roles in our district.

There are many great reasons to volunteer; whether you’re looking to gain crucial work experience or help boost a UCAS application, to fill a potential gap in your working life, or retired and seeking something to keep you active. Not only does volunteering benefit your community, it benefits your mental health, and can provide new skills and contacts.

You might be interested in just helping out every so often, perhaps for one day events where you don’t need to commit a lot of your time, or something more long term which might lead to employment in that sector, or simply utilise skills you’ve gained over many years and don’t want to go to waste.

Maybe you’re just interested to see some of the charities in the area; why not come along and have a chat? Everyone is welcome, and we hope to see you all there.
