Volunteer Saturday Delivery Driver Pair – Crowborough Foodbank
About this organisation
We don’t think anyone in our community should have to face going hungry. That’s why we provide three days’ nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people who are referred to us in crisis. We are part of a nationwide network of foodbanks, supported by The Trussell Trust, working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK.
About this opportunity
Join our friendly team of Saturday morning delivery drivers. We deliver grocery parcels to clients, in Crowborough and the surrounding areas.
We’re currently recruiting pairs to assist us with this important service. Deliveries are collected from the Foodbank warehouse, situated in-between Crowborough and Uckfield.
The deliveries are packaged in boxes and bags. You will need the ability to carry these to properties. This may also involve steps and stairs.
This is a flexible role, you both volunteer when you can. You will need a car, with insurance that covers volunteer work (most insurers will provide this free of charge).
You’re welcome to meet with us and find out more about this opportunity and what we do, before volunteering.
This will be taking place on Saturdays between 9am – 10.30am.
The length of the morning may vary slightly, depending on how many deliveries and volunteers there are.
Unfortunately we are unable to recruit lone volunteers for this role, however it is perfect if you’re a couple looking to help out in your spare time, family or even just two friends.
