Volunteer Box Collector – Crowborough Foodbank

We don’t think anyone in our community should have to face going hungry. That’s why we provide three days’ nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people who are referred to us in crisis. We are part of a nationwide network of foodbanks, supported by The Trussell Trust, working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK.

We are seeking drivers to collect empty boxes from Lidl supermarket in Crowborough and deliver them to the Foodbank warehouse at Barnsgate Manor in Heron’s Ghyll (just outside of Crowborough).
These boxes are vital for our deliveries of emergency food supplies to the community.
It would suit someone with an hour to spare each week and who has a car.

Your vehicle will require insurance that covers voluntary work, however most insurers will provide this free of charge.

We ask for no more than a hour per week.

You would be allocated a morning, or afternoon, slot depending on your availability.
