Wealden Citizens Advice provides free, confidential, independent and impartial advice and information, and campaign on the big issues affecting people’s lives in Wealden. Their goal is to help everyone find a way forward, whatever problem they face. They are an independent charity and are part of the Citizens Advice network across England and Wales. They value diversity, promote equality and challenge discrimination wherever we see it.

Are you looking for an opportunity to contribute to the community with an organisation that provides vital help and support to local people?

Volunteering as a Trustee with Wealden Citizens Advice is a richly rewarding experience, providing many opportunities to contribute to and safeguard the organisation’s work.

They are an active Board committed to helping shape the future of Wealden Citizens Advice. Their Board is seeking new members who have the potential to help define the direction of the organisation and support their staff and volunteers in the way it is run.

You will work as a member of an enthusiastic Trustee Board comprising professionals from several fields. As well as developing experience of the voluntary sector and in information and advice-giving, you will be able to support and mentor their Chief Executive. You’ll have access to training opportunities through central Citizens Advice and you can help to make a real difference in your community.

They meet approximately 10 times a year in the evenings and afternoon. Travel expenses will be covered.
