Sports Facilitator Youth Work Volunteer – Heathfield Youth Hub

Heathfield Youth Hub is a free and safe space for young people aged:

11 to 19, or 10 who will be turning 11 in year 6.
Take part in fun activities, make new friends and learn new skills, such as music, cooking and more.

Sometimes young people need a place to go and something to do. We are here to support young people with whatever is on their mind.

All our clubs and activities are LGBTQ+ friendly. There are also specific LGBTQ+ sessions, as well as our Funky Teens group. We also welcome young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

We do a range of activities such as sports, arts and baking. We are due to open our new Youth Hub in the summer so now is an exciting time to begin volunteering!

We are looking for sports facilitators to join our volunteer team. We have a large sports hall and basketball court where we will do a range of sports, such as football, basketball and badminton. We are looking for volunteers who enjoy sports, and would be happy to help run some sports activities in our youth sessions.

You will also volunteer in the other youth club activities that we offer, including arts, games and well-being activities.

A DBS check is required for this role which will be fully paid for by us.
Applicants must be aged 16 or over.
All mileage or public transport costs are paid.
Free training opportunities.

Sessions are due to start in August / September, and take place in the evenings. You can volunteer once a week or more depending on your availability.
