Kidenza Event Volunteer – Chailey Heritage Foundation

Exploring life-changing possibilities together. Living with complex disabilities can be overwhelming and isolating and getting the right support can be challenging.

For over 120 years, we’ve dedicated ourselves to nurturing the potential of every child and young person we work with, who are living with multiple physical, medical and communication needs. We are a thriving community of support for them and their families.

CHF are hosting a series of fully inclusive concerts by Kidenza on Saturday 24th October. Young people attending the event will also engage with other activities offered by the Activity Place. We are looking for a team of volunteers to help the day go smoothly and give the best experience possible to the young people and their families.

Key Activities
Volunteers will be assigned a particular role, for example:
• Car parking
• Welcome/check in – checking tickets and informing guests about what activities are available
• Marshal – directing towards chapel, café, music room, Kidenza show and toilets

Volunteers need to be over 16 years of age unless accompanied by a parent or carer.
Travel expenses will be paid within a 10-mile radius
Volunteers need to be able to stand for a period of time

This is a one-off event on Saturday 24th October, and you can volunteer anywhere between 9:00-17:00, choosing to help as much as suits you; so you’re welcome to volunteer for a couple of hours, half a day, or help us out the whole day.
