MAYFACS supports the community of Mayfield and Five Ashes with a clear objective to help alleviate loneliness and isolation by providing a range of activities for all ages, providing support and signposting to other organisations. We are striving to make our community an inclusive and welcoming community, supporting one another, creating opportunities and working together for the benefit of all who live and work within our boundaries. MAYFACS relies on the incredible support of our volunteers who underpin all that we do to improve the health and wellbeing of all our community.
About this opportunity
We are looking for more people to join our wonderful group of volunteer community car drivers.
Would you like to help local people get to their medical appointments (Doctors, Dentist, Opticians, Hospital etc) if they are unable to take public transport or drive themselves?
Volunteering in this way is really flexible. You can choose dates, times and locations that suit you and fit around your other commitments. If you can only do weekends or a particular day during the week, that’s ok. Some of our drivers volunteer to drive weekly, and others maybe once or twice a month. Travel expenses are reimbursed.

You will need a full UK driving licence and a fully insured car for this role. A DBS check will be required which we will organise.
