Games Club Voluntary Supporter – Ditch the Slippers
About this organisation
Ditch the Slippers is a community group based in Crowborough which encourages older people to socialise in a well supported, safe and pleasant environment. Activities are suitable for people who have reached a more senior age or adults who may find it difficult to access social gatherings in the community. This includes those who may have mental health difficulties or perhaps just feel somewhat vulnerable/lonely because of social isolation within the community.
About this opportunity
They are looking for a volunteer who can support the running of their Monday morning games sessions, Skittles and Boccia. The role requires someone who is reliable, and adept at interacting with others, ensuring that participants are included in the games and feel a part of the group.
Volunteers will need to be able to reach United Church in Crowborough, parking is available. Sessions are 2 hours long from 10am to 12pm. A DBS check is required.
