New Trustee on Ashdown Radio

This morning our new trustee, Geoffrey Dennis, was kindly invited to speak on our local radio station and long-time supporters Ashdown Radio.

Apart from delivering just some of his fascinating experiences from a rich career all over the world with various international charities, he was keen to highlight some of our members and the opportunities they have right now.

One of which was the Sussex Trug Heritage Centre, who have a few roles currently they are looking to fill. An historical craft, the trug is a mainstay with passionate gardeners not only in the UK but around the world, an item which originated here in Sussex. The Heritage Centre are working to keep those traditional skills alive by passing them on to the next generation, and protect a part of our culture for the years to come. Right now they are seeking help with:

Fundrasiers

Trustee

Marketing Volunteer

He also mentioned St Peter and St James Hospice, Chailey Heritage Foundation, and Age UK, all of which have positions of various kinds, meaning there’s something to suit everyone.

If you’re interested in volunteering, please see our list of current opportunities on our website.

As ever, our thanks to Ashdown Radio for having us on the air, and to our new Trustee Geoffrey Dennis for speaking on our behalf.
