Project Manager – Bluebell Railway

About this organisation
The Bluebell Railway is one of the UK’s leading heritage railways, operating steam and diesel trains between Sheffield Park, Horsted Keynes, Kingscote and East Grinstead. Run by over 1,000 volunteers, we work together to operate the railway, preserve historic locomotives, carriages and buildings, and provide memorable experiences for our visitors. Whether you have existing skills or simply want to learn something new, there are opportunities for everyone to get involved.
About this opportunity
Help the Bluebell Railway deliver projects that maintain, improve and develop our railway infrastructure. Working as part of a friendly volunteer team, you’ll help plan and coordinate projects across areas such as buildings, track, stations and other railway infrastructure. This is an ongoing volunteer role, ideal for someone with project management, construction, engineering or infrastructure experience who wants to put their skills to use in a unique heritage railway environment.
This is a flexible volunteer role, with time commitments varying depending on the project. Some site visits and meetings will take place during the week, with opportunities to get involved around your existing commitments.
Any experience with project management, construction, engineering, or infrastructure would be beneficial. This position is open to people aged 18 or over.
Volunteers have access to a range of Bluebell Railway volunteer benefits.
