Trustee – Kit Wilson Trust

The Kit Wilson Trust has been established for 50 years and is managed by a committee of volunteer trustees, one of whom is the Chairman and also Centre Manager. The charity has been rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming animals since it’s inception as well as providing a safe haven and forever home for those animals not suitable for rehoming. The Animal Rescue Centre in Stonehurst Lane, Hadlow Down covers a 34 acre site, and cares for dogs, cats, horses and ponies, goats, rodents, ferrets, as well as a large number of birds.

We are seeking new Trustees to help with the progression of the Trust, strengthening our governance, and ensuring we continue to help animals in need for years to come.

Trustee meetings are usually held monthly, but work out at around 10 each year. As part of the trustees, you would be asked to help guide the direction of the charity, assisting with your relevant experience and knowledge to inform on decisions made.

Ideally applicants will have prior experience with the governance and/or running of a charity, however this is not essential as a mixture of different backgrounds can be useful.

Meetings will be held at our centre on Stonehurst Lane in Hadlow Down.

For only a little of your time each month you can help us to continue our important work rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming animals in need of assistance.
