At Chailey Heritage Foundation, we believe every young person deserves the chance to explore the world around them. As one of our dedicated drivers, you’ll play a vital role in helping children and young people access exciting experiences, build confidence, and enjoy greater independence.
Purpose of the Role
To make a real difference in the lives of children and young people by driving them to places where they can learn, explore, and have fun.
What You’ll Do
- Carry out simple vehicle safety checks to make sure the minibus is safe and ready for the journey.
- Keep the vehicle clean, tidy, and welcoming for everyone on board.
- Complete a quick log after each trip and let the team know if anything needs attention.
- Lend a helping hand when children and young people are getting on and off the bus — including safely securing wheelchairs.
An Enhanced DBS will be required for this role. This positions hours are flexible, you can choose a regular day or volunteer on an ad hoc basis, whatever suits you.
You will require the relevant licences for driving a minibus, and a clean driving record.
