Drama Volunteer – Headway Sussex

Headway Sussex provides reablement and support services for individuals affected by acquired brain injuries, as well as their family caregivers.

Their Living Well Programme offers a diverse range of activities aimed at personal well-being. This includes personalised support for achieving independence, tailored reablement and therapy sessions, client and caregiver group sessions, social and relaxation activities, as well as access to information and advice.

Drama has a profound therapeutic effect on individuals recovering from brain injuries.

Do you want to make a difference in the lives of brain injury survivors?

Headway Sussex are seeking someone to lead an engaging Drama programme for their clients. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or just have a heart for this art form, your contribution can truly impact lives.

As a Drama Volunteer, you will:

  • Lead Engaging Sessions: Guide participants through drama exercises, improvisation, and performance activities that foster self-expression and creativity.
  • Boost Confidence and Social Skills: Help individuals build self-esteem, improve communication abilities, and enhance social interactions.
  • Create a Supportive Environment: Offer a safe and encouraging space where participants can explore their emotions and experiences through drama.

A DBS check will be conducted by Headway Sussex, there is no age limit for this role. The vacancy is to take place on Fridays at their venue Headway House in Newick.
