Time for Tea & Friends Group Volunteer – Ridgewood Village Hall

Due to growing numbers, our Time for Tea & Friends group is looking for volunteers to assist in running sessions. It's a relaxed and fun time, with volunteers helping out by serving sandwiches and cakes to guests whilst having a chat. The group meets on the 4th Wednesday of each month, from 11.30am to 2.45pm, and if interested there are other sessions available. A DBS check is required for this role, however Ridgewood Village Hall will cover this.

Volunteer Retail Assistant Uckfield – St Peter & St James Hospice

Volunteer Retail Assistants attend to the running of St Peter and St James Hospices' shops, performing general tasks associated with running a store on the high street. These can include getting stock ready for sale, cleaning and arranging the shop floor, assisting and serving customers, and being aware of confidential procedures. This role would suit someone who enjoys working as part of a team and helping the general public, but would also suit someone looking to improve in these areas, as well as gain experience in retail.

Shop Volunteer – The Kit Wilson Trust

We at the Kit Wilson Trust are seeking volunteers to help run our busy shops and raise vital funds to keep our rescue centre operating to care for and re-home unwanted animals. There are so many fantastic reasons to volunteer with one of our shops (Hailsham, Uckfield, Heathfield) and there is a role for everyone! As a shop volunteer, no two days are the same and there are is a huge variety of opportunities for you to take part in what we do; From being at the frontlines looking after our customers at the till to working behind the scenes to sort and prepare the pre-loved donations we receive on a daily basis! This is a role that anyone and everyone can take something positive away from, no matter your background, age or experience! We are fully flexible around your commitments and are grateful for every minute our volunteers can give us, even an hour or two squeezed in around your busy week goes a long way!

Marketing Volunteer – Sussex Trug Heritage Centre

This role primarily utilises social media to inform the wider world of their craft and products and to ensure that all available media channels are used. The Marketing Volunteer will prepare blogs and other marketing information and use the company's Instagram and Facebook pages to spread the word about the activities of the centre. They'll develop other social media outlets for coverage around the world. The volunteer will need to do this at the Thomas Smith's Trug Shop in Magham Down using the company's computers and resources. They ask for a commitment of one half day a week, but if you are able and willing then more days are welcome.
