As a Customer Service Volunteer you will get the chance to meet new people and make friends, plus play a vital role in helping to raise funds to support local older people. You will be working on the shop floor as the welcoming face of our charity. Serving customers with a smile, using the till (don't worry, we will show you how) and handling money and sales.
This role involves volunteering on Saturdays at Bridge Cottage Heritage Centre during our open days, welcoming visitors and invigilating the exhibition spaces to help ensure the collections are cared for and visitors have an enjoyable experience. Full training will be provided, so no previous museum experience is necessary. We're simply looking for someone who is reliable, friendly, and has a genuine passion for history and local heritage.
This rural village shop is seeking cafe and shop volunteers to assist and serve customers, in Chiddingly's very relaxed and beautiful setting. Duties will include: Serving customers, completing daily forms, preparing simple food and making hot drinks using the coffee machine - all of which training will be given for so no experience required, just the desire to learn and be friendly.

Duties for volunteers vary from shift to shift with tasks such as sorting items, packaging for distribution, maintaining the warehouse, and testing electronic devices. These can include getting stock ready for sale, cleaning and arranging the shop floor, assisting and serving customers, and being aware of confidential procedures.
