Volunteer Driver – Association of Carers
Volunteer Drivers assist by transporting both volunteers who can't drive or don't have access to a vehicle to the carer's home and back again, and carer's to appointments or a day activity. Applicants will require their own vehicle and a full clean driver's licence. Having a good knowledge of local roads and routes, and being a good communicator will also benefit anyone in this role.
Talk and Support Volunteer – Association of Carers
This role involves phoning a carer you will be matched with, and having a conversation of roughly 30 minutes, providing an outlet for the carer to discuss their position in confidence. These conversations will take place on a regular basis, gradually reducing in frequency over a 6-month period. Perfect for anyone with a background as a carer or an empathetic individual who is a good listener
Sunday Morning Driver Volunteer – Holy Cross Church Uckfield
The church are looking for a volunteer driver to help get a few of their congregation to services on a Sunday. This would involve both bringing passengers and delivering them home. Services are at 9:30am, second Sunday of the month at 10:00am. This role will only take a small amount of your time once each week but will make a big difference to those in need of the service to practice their faith

Seated exercises help improve strength, mobility, and well-being for our clients, many of whom face mobility challenges. We’re looking for someone patient, encouraging, and enthusiastic to guide these sessions. Training or experience is a bonus, but kindness and dedication are most important!
Distribution Centre Flexible Volunteer – St Peter & St James Hospice
The Distribution Centre is where all of the stock heading for sale either online or to the hospices' shops is sorted. Duties for volunteers vary from shift to shift with tasks such as sorting items, packaging for distribution, maintaining the warehouse, and testing electronic devices. You won't be required to interact with the general public but will be working within a team.
Driver Escort and Driver Volunteers – St Peter & St James Hospice
The Hospice are looking for Drivers and Driver Escorts to transport attendees between their homes and the Living Well Centre. Part of the role will include greeting attendees, and liaising with the Living Well Centre Lead. Applicants will be required to undertake training as all volunteers with the hospice do, and provide the necessary documentation for driving.
Kitchen Assistant – St Peter & St James Hospice
The role chiefly involves maintaining the cleanliness of St Peter and St James facilities, ensuring that trays are cleared, utensils washed, the staff kitchenettes are cleaned and restocked. It will also involve fulfilling any basic food preparation duties communicated by the cook when functions take place. This role is perfect for anyone looking to gain experience in a kitchen environment.
Volunteer Retail Assistant Uckfield – St Peter & St James Hospice
Volunteer Retail Assistants attend to the running of St Peter and St James Hospices' shops, performing general tasks associated with running a store on the high street. These can include getting stock ready for sale, cleaning and arranging the shop floor, assisting and serving customers, and being aware of confidential procedures.
